Role Allocation not working

Summary

A user on the CommunityOne Builders Help forum reported an issue where custom quest completion roles were not being automatically allocated to members in their paid Citadel server, despite members earning points. Support staff investigated, requested the server ID, and checked internal data. The key finding was that while most role allocations were successful, a few members had failed to receive the role because they had not yet claimed their quest rewards, which is the trigger for automatic rol...

Is there any way I can check the Roles to see if they are allocating them to my members because I can see by the leaderboard that they are earning points but they're not being allocated the appropriate role in the server

this issue is in the Citadel server that ive paid premium for HYPE

which roles are you speaking of? The quest champion role (the one for the weekly winner)? or the shop ones?

the quest role should have been automatically given out, if there's a user that dont have that role, or if you also have a specific cases of a user, feel free to give us the last 4 digits here and we can check it internally too!

yeah sorry i meant the roles that i have added to a custom quest ive created. All the quests i create in the Citadel currently earn members the 'defender Lv1' role upon completion. The Role is set up in the server correctly and I add it to each quest I create but I'm quirying if its actually working or not as i've had to manually upgrade a couple of members as it either didnt work or they had earnt plenty of points another way without actually fully completing a quest. Is there any way of telling?

Can you please share your server id? I can look into this

okay, i am gonna make a DM with you and bruno since this is a premium server and there might be sensitive info, but generally, you can find stats on the quests here : https://insights.communityone.io/dashboard/[server_id]/hype-engine

if you go to quest leaderboard, u can sort of see how many people have completed the quests and in your case, there's a lot of people that have completed the quests

oh wait, can u add me as friends lol

So I have your server ID and everyhting, and already logged the error, it will be great if u can give us a user ID that our bot should have automatically granted the role, but failed to do so!

Another question is that did you recently added the role as a reward, (like over the last 24 hours or so)?

or the setup has been a qwhile now?

Hi there! so we checked it on ourside, there are a good amount of users that have the role granted automatically via our bot, there are roughly 6 members that have done the quests but didn't get the role, and... the reason is that they forget to claim it!

hi Louisa, sorry weve had no internet for a few days and couldnt get online. So once a member has completed the quest they then claim there points, yes. does this not automatically allocate that role? do they have to do something else?

Reply

When they claim the rewards the roles get allocated automatically, that's also when they get the points from completing the quests

Reply

These members can still claim the rewards even if many days have passed
