What does the mid_curve emoji mean?

When the intellectual argument hits a little too close to home.

This emoji features a variation of the 'Soyjak' character, specifically the 'Midwit' or 'Intellectual' soyjak, depicted in a state of emotional distress. It is commonly used in internet discourse to mock someone who is over-analyzing a situation or trying to appear smarter than they are while secretly being upset or triggered. In Discord servers, it serves as the ultimate retort to someone posting a long-winded, pretentious, or 'cope-heavy' take.

When to use it

  • Mocking someone for over-analyzing a simple topic
  • Reacting to a pretentious or long-winded take
  • Expressing fake intellectual pain during a debate
  • Highlighting someone who is clearly coping hard
