typing (Animated)
What does the typing emoji mean?
The universal sign that someone is actually listening (or just pretending to).
This pixelated typing indicator is a staple in Discord servers to signal that a response is incoming. It captures the anticipation of waiting for a message, often used humorously to highlight long-winded typing sessions or to build suspense in a chat. It is a meta-commentary on the platform's own UI elements, turning a functional feature into a playful reaction.
When to use it
- Signaling that a long response is coming
- Mocking someone who takes forever to type
