Starlight Inn Fundraiser

We’re raising funds to purchase a premium subscription for our beloved Sesh Bot! Sesh is how we schedule all of our events, and premium would give us even more tools to keep everything organized and running smoothly.

To help raise funds, I’ll be hand-making a limited number of items in exchange for a donation to the server:

Witch’s Hat — $45
Black or purple

Beanie — $30
Black, charcoal gray, or pink

Headband — $20
Black, white, gray, pink, or purple

• Outside the US: +$3

Want a custom color or design? Custom requests are available for an additional $4 to cover materials.

How it works:
Donations must be made through our donation store. If you’re converting from another currency, please make sure the final donation amount equals the listed USD price.

Once you’ve donated, message me with what you’d like and your color/design choice. For shipping, your address will only be shared with me and can be deleted from our chat after I send your shipping confirmation.

Everything will be made to order, so depending on how many orders we receive, please allow 1–2 weeks for me to complete your item.

And of course, you get some Starlight perks too! Along with your handmade item, you’ll be able to choose a custom name color and custom name icon to display next to your name in the server.

First of all, I want to welcome all of our new members! I've enjoyed getting to interact with you all and I'm sure we will have many fun conversations/games in the future. Since we have so many new members, I thought I'd give a refresher on some important aspects of our server.

First of all, if you ever need to reach a member of our staff team, please message @ModMail. This will open a ticket with all staff members, and responses will occur through the bot in DMs.

If you have any suggestions for the server, please follow the instructions in #𝚂uggestions. We appreciate feedback on how we can improve.

We are excited to host many events! You can visit #𝙴vents to see a list of our planned events and find instructions on how to host your own. If you wish to host events regularly, you can apply to be an event host at the "Staff and Partnerships" section of . Approval will grant you access to an event host channel where you can collaborate with other hosts.

One thing that you may have noticed is that our server has a lot of sections and channels. Believe it or not, the default is to show a small fraction of all our channels. To see more of the server, you can select channels and roles at . Furthermore, we utilize the forum system a lot. For example, #𝙼edia hosts a lot of individual posts with different topics. I encourage you to look at individual posts in these forums and either "Follow" or send a message in each post you are interested in so that they show up in your sidebar.

I know this is a lot, so I will end this by reminding everyone of our server #𝚁ules. If you have not read them yet or need a refresher, feel free to go review them! Thank you to everyone who has read them and follow them.

Here's the August Newsletter!

Wow! August sure felt quick! I don't have a ton of news for you all this month, just mainly reminders about stuff around the server. However, we are diligently mapping out a calendar of movies counting down to Halloween through September and October. So stay tuned for that coming soon as we hammer out who's streaming what and when!

Couple little reminders:
First, we are still looking for folks that want to run events on the regular (once a month.) It can be a game, streaming something, or other fun activities. If you are interested, simply apply using the "staff and partnerships" link and choosing "Event Host," right here
Second, we're trying to make our server currency reward "stardust" a bigger part of the server. Admin can reward it to anyone for doing anything the benefits the server. Stuff like, attending an event or welcoming someone new! We're hoping to offer giveaways and other rewards soon. In the meantime, we'll do our best to award it!

Turt hosted a fun little NFL event and then spun a wheel for a winner from the participants. Congrats Dingus on your $10 game!

We’re also looking for more event hosts! If you’d be interested in hosting at least one event a month, feel free to apply. We have plenty of resources for event ideas and how-tos! We also have a few mod spots open! You must be level 10 and in good standing with the server to apply. A few server feature reminders:
- You can ask questions about the server in #𝚀uestions-and-𝙷elp
- We have server quests! Complete them to earn coins for game raffles or server swag in #𝚂erver-𝚀uests
- Stardust is awarded for attending events, welcoming new members, or helping someone find their way around the server. It isn’t automatic, so if you do these things and don’t receive Stardust, feel free to tag @Star Scout {Moderator} as a reminder. We don’t mind ~ we wanna spread the dust!

Want a chance to win a prize while helping our community grow? We're launching an invite competition!
📅 Competition Details
- Invite new members to join Starlight Inn and earn credit toward the leaderboard. The member with the most valid invites at the end of the competition wins!

• Requirements for an Invite to Count
  Your invitee must:
• Mention your username in their server application when joining.
• Verify successfully in the server.
• Have a Discord account that is at least 3 months old.
• Either:
  Reach Level 3
  OR
  Participate in at least one
  server event

📌 Important
- It is your responsibility to encourage invitees to mention you in their application.
- It is also your responsibility to keep your own records/screenshots as proof of your invites.
- Self-invites, alt accounts, invite trading, or any other attempts to manipulate the competition are prohibited.
- All entries are subject to moderator review and discretion.
- Staff reserve the right to disqualify any invite or participant suspected of fraud or rule circumvention.

⋆｡°✩ Looking for Starlight Event Hosts ✩⋆｡°

We’re looking to add 1-2 more event hosts to the team! ✨

Event Hosts are members who want to give back to the server by running events on our calendar! This could be things like movie/show nights, trivia, game nights, Gartic Phone, Cards Against Humanity, Discord activities, or honestly anything fun you’d want to host.

How to apply:
Head over to click into the About the Staff section, and you’ll find the application panel at the bottom.

Requirements:
- You must be Level 10 in the server
- You must be able to host 1 event per month

The application is super quick, mostly just to see your availability

Once accepted, you’ll get access to an Event Host chat where we’ll share ideas, tips (including how to use Sesh), and help you get your events set up.

You’ll have support the whole way, so if you’ve been wanting to contribute but didn’t know how, this is a really easy way to jump in. We appreciate anyone who wants to give a little time to help keep things fun 💫

We're excited to announce a new D&D one shot adventure coming to Starlight Inn!

Details:
✨ 2–3 sessions total
✨ Held on Saturdays or Sundays (exact schedule will depend on player and DM availability)
✨ Looking for 4–6 players

Before the adventure begins, we'll hold a Session Zero to go over expectations, establish ground rules, create characters, and answer any questions you may have.

Please keep in mind that this adventure will span multiple sessions, so be sure you're able to attend all of them before signing up.
