Lovable has extended the free use of Gemini models in user projects until October 13, 2025, meaning these AI operations, such as image generation, will not deduct AI credits. This promotion specifically covers the use of Gemini models for AI tasks, but standard build credits for project creation and editing will still be consumed. By default, Lovable will use Gemini for AI prompts during this extended period unless another model is explicitly requested.

We have extended the free use of Gemini models in your projects through October 13, 2025!!
**What this means: ** If you are using a Gemini model in your project (think for purposes like image generation, analysis, etc.) it won't cost you any AI credits!
What this doesn't mean: Your build credits will still be deducted for building your project, making edits, etc. While we use AI to build your project, this is not what is included in the free usage promo.
How to ensure you're using Gemini: When you prompt Lovable to add AI to your project, through october 13, 2025, it will default to using Gemini models. You CAN use other models by specifically telling Lovable to use the other model.
