Hello everyone,
I am from Iraq, in the Middle East. Here, I cannot show my true self freely. There is only one accepted model for a person, and anyone who deviates is judged by society, family, and sometimes even the law.

It’s very hard to find people who truly understand you. And even if I do, fear is always there: they might expose me or harm my relationships with my family or work.

Sometimes, people who seem close care only about casual physical relationships, not about the feelings and needs of my heart.

I want a real connection—a person who understands me, shares safety and support—not just a fleeting relationship.
But it feels like the path here is blocked, and options are limited: stay alone, or try to go abroad, which is very difficult without work or resources.

I feel trapped in a cycle I don’t know how to escape, and I hope to find someone who shares this feeling.
