The team is built around Tailwind support from Whimsicott, with Gholdengo serving as the main offensive core.
Overall, the team has been performing well, but I've been hardstuck at my current rank and feel like I'm missing something. I particularly struggle against Mega Staraptor teams, Farigiraf teams, and Rain teams.
I'd appreciate any feedback on potential weaknesses in the team, possible roster or move set changes, matchup advice. Any insights is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Whats another option to venusaur? Since I currently don't have him on my account
Against Rain? I'd have to think since I'm in public rn, I can't really check
and a mega
mega against rain
hm
We have
Grass Fairy
Steel Ghost
Steel Dark
Water Fairy
Dragon Ground
so far, right?
I believe you also need something against sun teams, since you have 3 fire weaknesses
Fire and Water coverage
maybe a Water type yourself?
Water Dragon, but thats kinda overlapping
am I missing something?
Wait, what Pokémon are you even using from my suggestion
Clefable and Garchomp?
Whimsicott - Grass Fairy
Clefable - Fairy
Gholdengo - Steel Ghost
Primarina - Water Fairy
Garchomp - Dragon Ground
Okay okay
So far this is what I understood from your suiggestions. But isnt 3 fairy types kinda overkill?
Yes 3 fairys are alot
Replacing kingambit with garchomp seems better since removing primarina removes a special attacker off the team and would have to solely rely on goldengo
for special moves
correct me if my understanding is wrong
maybe Talonflame?
It covers just a bit more for steel types with either overheat or flare blitz and also gets some priority on tailwind
like replacing talonflame woth whims
you'd also be able to click earthquake on chomp next to talon, if you prefer eq
personally i prefer stomping tho
ohh intersting, so it would be:
Talonflame
Clefable
Gholdengo
Primarina
Garchomp
Yes, Gholdengo has a hard dealing with Kingambit, now Talonflame Overheat might OHKO it
I'd have to do the calcs
im pretty sure flare blitz wouldnt OHKO since kingamnit has way more def than spD
yeah i believe so, kingambit naturally has higher def than spD
252+ SpA Talonflame Overheat vs. 138 HP / 4 SpD Kingambit: 192-228 (100 - 118.7%) -- guaranteed OHKO
if you want to make sure that overheat OHKOS some bulkier sets you could use charcoal or expert belt, but id say focus sash is its best item
