We’ve been seeing a sharp increase in spam and scam activity targeting our community.
To keep conversations safe and enjoyable for all members, we’ve decided to maximize the security.
What this means:
* You’ll now need to have a verified phone number linked to your Discord account to send messages in most channels.
* This change takes effect immediately and applies to both new and existing members.
* Verified phone numbers help us block automated spam accounts and keep the server free from disruptive behavior.
Why we’re doing this:
Our priority is protecting the community from spam, scams, and malicious links. Phone verification is one of the most effective tools to stop bad actors before they can disrupt conversations.
What you need to do if you can't send messages:
1. Click the Gear Icon to go to User Settings → My Account → Phone Number.
2. Add and verify your phone number.
3. Rejoin the conversation once verification is complete.
