Lovable Enforces Credit Abuse Policy

Summary

Lovable announces action against a large-scale credit abuse operation, noting accounts and projects in violation may be permanently removed. Projects were restored this one time but future violations will be enforced swiftly. The post directs users to Lovable Academy, the Terms of Service, and Platform Rules, and reminds members that Discord server rules ban ToS violations while community leaders monitor for abuse.

Lovable's approach to Credit Abuse

Lovable is committed to fostering creativity within a safe and secure platform, and we count on our community to uphold the highest standards of integrity together.

This week, our detection systems identified a large-scale credit abuse operation targeting our credit system. Following a thorough investigation, we gathered sufficient evidence to act on accounts and projects engaged in such behaviors. Some users acknowledged engaging in credit abuse (such as buying credits from third parties); others were surprised by our enforcement.

Let us be clear: credit abuse violates Lovable's Terms & Conditions and Platform Rules. This includes remixes of projects that were themselves in violation.

Accounts and projects found in breach of these rules are subject to permanent removal.

In the spirit of transparency and collaboration, we have chosen to restore the projects this one time. This will not happen again. Going forward, violations will be enforced swiftly and without exception.

To help you stay on the right side of our policies and get the most out of Lovable, we encourage you to:
- Visit Lovable Academy for tips on using the platform effectively
- Review our Terms of Service and Platform Rules to understand what is and isn't permitted
- Only remix projects from trusted sources to avoid undesired enforcement

As it applies to the Lovable Discord Server:
- Our #📜︱community-guidelines and Server Rules (which are agreed to before you can engage in the server) state: "14. Adhere to Lovable's Terms of Service: Violation of Lovable's ToS will result in being banned from the server."
- Our team of Discord community leaders, made up of Lovable staff and Community Champions, monitor channels for messages related to selling credits and other signs of abuse. Messages of this kind are removed and the accounts responsible are banned to keep the community safe from fraud and scams.

To help you stay safe in the server, we encourage you to:
1. Be cautious of unsolicited DMs offering to help with your project, grow your user base, or sell you credits at a discount. These are common signals of a scam and the purchasing of credits via a third party will mean your account will be banned and you will lose access to your projects.
2. Only engage with support and guidance shared publicly in server channels, not through private messages from unknown accounts.
3. Only share personal details such as your name, email address, and unpublished project links with Lovable Staff or Community Champions when requested via DM.
4. Be cautious of "hiring" anyone you have not had at least a live video call with. Promoting yourself for hire is a violation of Server Rules and Community Guidelines due to the high risk of deception.

If something feels off, report it directly to a Community Champion who will escalate to Lovable staff.

We are building something meaningful here, and we appreciate your commitment to keeping this space creative, safe, and secure. Thank you for being part of this community.
