Haven't had an update in a couple months....

However, I added #┃other-self-promo to the server

This channel is to promote links that don't really tie to #┃song-self-promo and #┃beats-self-promo such as twitch/youtube content. your social media and so on.
(posting discord invites get automatically deleted by the bot)

Currently working on the paid service system again after removing it almost 2 years ago
image down below
I'll ping everyone when the system is ready.

If it gets popular and if people like the system I will make the voucher system alot more enchanced while still being user friendly.
Basically where people can get roles and other rewards for being a trusted seller within the community.
I'll eventually add more service channels if needed.

There's going to be a few updates to the server within the next couple of days.
- I added @Ardour as a daw role since we've had multiple people asking to add it (you can grab it in #┃self-roles)
- There's also a new category in the Channels & Roles section asking how many years of experience you have which will give you a role depending on your answer. there will be a picture below
(It seems like discord is trying to get rid of having channels like #┃self-roles so I won't be updating it there and will most likely be locking the channel from public view sometime later).

The sample category will be changed by tomorrow and will have sections based on the type of loop/sample it is. I'll also be adding a preset/ one-shot and drum-kit category to the server again.

Just a reminder there is also a giveaway for protools artist edition happening in #giveaways ($200 value).

Heyo, I wanted to make this public as I've been seeing an increase in disgusting overall toxicity within the community and really want to get some things straight to make this place a lot better for everyone.
I'm going to make it short as I know people will not read through it

• Stop going into admins/mods direct messages you will not get the quickest answers this way. Use ! We get pinged instantly when you message it or even just ping the bot.

You can even ping @Admin/@Moderator in the chats if something is happening.

• Do not be afraid to tell the mods about a situation.

I've been seeing this a lot, where members are complaining about toxicity but not going out the way to tell the mods and admins about it. How can we handle a situation if we are not told about it? Do not be afraid to tell us about a situation. We note down people who are involved in a situation and look out for future problems.

• I will personally be making the mod team 2x bigger and getting rid of some inactive mods/admins in the coming days (making this public as I think everyone should know what happens behind the scenes of the server).

Again if a situation is happening in the voice or text chats when moderators/admins aren't present please ping us or message . We've had many situations that could have been handled right away and not months after if we were told right away!

• The image below I'm also making public to show you how we handle situations majority of the time.

The sample flip contest begins tomorrow!
Here's a brief explanation of what the event is:

- You'll have from December 10, 2022 10:00 PM to December 17, 2022 10:00 PM to submit an instrumental/beat that was made using 1 of the 4 provided samples. A channel will open up during the scheduled start time where you can download the samples.
- ONE SUBMISSION PER PERSON
- You can flip/edit/chop up the sample how ever you'd like as long as the sample was incorporated into the project.
- Vocal chops are allowed, but an acapella throughout the beat/instrumental isn't.
- There is no requirement on how long your instrumental/beat should be, but we recommend at least 1:30 to 2 minutes, as we will only be listening to 2 minutes of each instrumental/beat on the live stream.

The winner will be sent a clarett+ 2Pre

Link to the product: https://focusrite.com/en/usb-c-audio-interface/clarett-plus/clarett-plus-2pre

The runner up prize will be able to select between the FLKey or the Novation LaunchKey.

The prizes will be directly shipped by Focusrite!

an fyi - please remember that this is a competition. We are not trying to listen to placement beats those won't win!

Discord have integrated a new feature to have dedicated text channels within voice chats.
- Due to this, all no-mics have been removed

To find the text chat on a computer or phone just hover over any voice chat and click the little chat icon. Picture example below

If you can't see the channels, refresh your client

The music production category in the server will be locked from being messaged on starting today and will become private from the public eye starting tomorrow.

We now have a new way for people to get help on a specific matter which it through the new #channel. All questions/tips that is related to audio or music should be typed there.

If the forum doesn't work out as intended then we will make immediate changes and put it back to the original way it's been
