Bangwing IN Weekly Update: Security, New Channels & More

Weekly Update - August 18/19, 2024

Here are some updates for this week:

  • Security Update: We’ve added more security to the server with a new CAPTCHA verification process.
  • Summary Channel: The summary channel has been updated! It now contains server info, the server map, and a link to vote.
  • Social Media Focus: We are putting more emphasis on boosting our social media engagement.
  • New Channel: We’ve added a new channel called Voice Text. If you’re muted in a voice chat, you can text there, and a bot will clearly speak your messages.
  • Special Thanks: A big thanks to Yatin for boosting the server!
  • First Paid Event: We hosted our first paid event—more to come!
  • Staff Applications: Staff applications are now open for everyone. Create a ticket or contact an administrator/staff if you’re interested.
  • Music Bot Update: Jockie bot is now our main music bot, solving the issues people had with playing music in general VC. Music commands can be found in the track announce channel for Jockie.
  • Server Activity: The server has been stagnant at 500 members for a month and is getting quieter each day.
  • Starboard Stars: Congratulations to Yumi and Vance for reaching 10 stars in the starboard—engagement here isn’t easy!
  • Admin’s Return: The server administrator is finally back after a long time away.
  • Moderation Tools: Moderation now has a clearer screen to see the top 10 most active members in chatting, voice channels, and inviting people.
  • Independence Day: We apologize for missing the greetings for India’s Independence Day as our admin was inactive.
