1. The first step was simply telling Lovable to build an online store for selling merch. Lovable set everything up for us, including checkout and shopping cart functionality.

2. Next, we specified what products we wanted to sell and added product images. Lovable added the products to the store and even helped generate product descriptions.

3. Lastly, we told Lovable the store was finished and that we were ready to start selling. Lovable let us claim the store on Shopify, and then we simply clicked publish.

It’s now much easier to add SEO basics like titles, meta descriptions, slugs, and social images.

Here’s your step-by-step SEO guide for Lovable from designer Felix Haas (follow him on LinkedIn or Twitter/X):

Step 1 → Publish Dialog (manual setup) 🔥

1/ Domain
Pick something short and clean. Connect a custom domain if you can.

2/ Page Title
Under 60 characters, keyword at the start.
Example: Budget App for Freelancers | Acme

3/ Meta Description
Under 160 characters, one-sentence pitch with your keyword.
Example: Track expenses and save smarter with Acme, the budgeting app for freelancers.

4/ Social Image
Upload a branded preview (1200x630px).

Step 2 → Extend SEO with Prompts ✨

Paste these prompts into Lovable for advanced setup:

1/ Clean URLs:
Prompt: Use clean slugs like /about, /pricing, /blog instead of random IDs.
Why: Short, readable links are easier for both Google and users.

2/ Headings:
Prompt: Generate a semantic heading hierarchy. One H1 per page (main keyword). H2 for sections. H3 for details.
Why: Helps Google understand your content.

3/ Schema Markup:
Prompt: Add JSON-LD schema (BlogPosting, Product, Organization, FAQPage) depending on page type.
Why: This unlocks rich results like stars, FAQs, or pricing in Google.

4/ Site Speed:
Prompt: Optimize all images (<100kb), enable lazy loading, minimize scripts.
Why: Faster sites rank higher and reduce bounce.

5/ Internal Links
Prompt: Auto-suggest internal links to related posts/products at the end of each article.
Why: Keeps visitors browsing longer, a strong SEO signal.
