I don’t know your friends personality(obviously) but I know that even before I was bi me and my friends would make gay jokes all the time
And even now my straight friends make gay jokes with my other straight friends
I don’t know why but being a straight guy means taking about you other straight guy friends in a gay way

Unless you know a guy is gay I would assume gay jokes are just jokes
