Having trouble finding Boone as a companion?

He's stationed at Novac, you can find him in the dino at night, speak to him (be polite) if you choose the right dialogue you'll get the quest called "One for my baby" this next part is important, you need to make sure you have a speech level of over 55 to actually get Boone as a companion. Follow the quest then go talk to Boone, when you get the dialogue option requiring 55 speech choose it, you should be able to ask him to travel with you now!
