In a garden full of flowers, some better some worse. You choose one, Love it, appreciate it, admire it, adore it, hold it in front of thousands of alike ones, make it feel special. If it wants to be with you it will get picked up and get broken apart from the stem but if it does not want to be picked up it will remain standing tall, head up, try to resist from the root to the bud and if you try too hard it's petals might de-attach and scatter, the stem might snap... What once was a beautiful flower living its life happily in the sunlight just got withered and is left in a condition to be loved by no-one in your hands.
It's sometimes better to just let a flower remain unloved just because you loved it so much
