## Looking to start Fresh? ## Back to Roots is an __optional__ server program designed for players who want a fresh start, a slower pace, or a structured challenge without wiping the server. It is meant to bring players back to early game survival and give long term goals to those who may already have everything. There are __two__ ways to participate. 🧺 Fresh Start Option Players may choose to voluntarily dispose of their armor, tools, and stored materials and begin again from scratch. This option can be chosen at any time and is fully optional. It is best suited for players who want a clean slate without additional rules or time limits. 🌲 Challenge Option Players can sign up for a structured challenge lasting anywhere from one to twelve weeks. During this time, players will complete assigned tasks designed to test survival, progression, and creativity. This option is for players looking for more difficulty and long term goals. Because the server uses chunk trims, wilderness builds are not permanent. To prevent progress loss, all challenge participants will live in a protected Camp. This is where players will sleep, eat, and complete all challenge tasks, and it will remain safe from chunk trims. Land claims will remain safe during chunk trims as long as players have money in their balance. Claim upkeep will automatically pull from your balance while participating in the challenge. To keep the challenge fair and enjoyable, rules will be in place. Players may not bring outside gear, tools, or materials into the camp. Items may not be stored elsewhere for later use. Outside help from non participants is not allowed. Leaving the challenge early will result in forfeiting rewards after the twelve weeks is up. 🌿 **Hello everyone!** We hope you’re having a wonderful day in Wisterwild! Our server offers a safe haven for *all* players. Whether you play on a NASA computer or a potato phone, we want to make sure all our Friends can comfortably participate in everything we have to offer - and it takes a village! Here’s a quick refresher on how we can all help keep the server running smooth as butter 🧈 --- **🐾 Entity & Floating Item Culler** - Our LagLimiter clears excess mobs and floating items every few minutes. - Anything nametagged will *not* be removed — nametag what you love! - Lost items can be recovered with **/abyss** for up to 45 seconds after a lag clear. --- **⚡ Redstone & Farms** - Large redstone devices can cause major lag. - If your contraption stops working, try: - Spacing farms at least **4 chunks apart** - Reducing **hopper chains** (use water/ice instead!) - Limiting **signs & item frames** to essentials - Make sure every farm has an on/off switch or a way to disable it so it's not running non stop. - Use barrels instead of chests wherever possible. Limit storage to only what you *actually* need! There's no reason to have hundreds of storage containers for all in game items.
