The Friend Bot is hesitantly online for now. If it shows up in your friend list go ahead and use that option to join. Mojang seems to be cracking down on bot accounts including this alternative method we use to join servers so use it up while it's active! lol
Just add "wisterwild" to your friend list and click "join" once it adds you back (usually pretty instant)
