@Verified !!! LISTEN UP TO LET ALL THIS DIES AND REMAINS DEAD HERE

To start off, the recent updates to the server ARE NOT NEWWWWW. The server has had rules since the moment it was created. When everyone joins the server it is explicitly stated that political discussions should be discussed in the appropriate channels. This isn’t something that is brand new information or changed because 1 person said something…. You all are telling us to have “thick skin” or “to not be so sensitive” yet all I’m seeing is multiple people complain and be sensitive about something that has been a rule SINCE THE SERVER WAS MADE.

We wanted this server to be a space for people to escape reality for a moment and forget their current situation, a place to find a sense of belonging and a social network, and a place to discuss current events and debate about them. This is why we tried our best to create channels to discuss designated topics that align with different interests and discussions.

Now, on the topic at hand, we have recognized that discussions about politics are more thought- and emotion-invoking, so we created spaces for them and developed solutions like #☕・real-talk-forum and #🌎・current-events. This is NOT new and has been here since the server was created. At this point all we are seeing is just straight up name calling and bullying. We are all adults here so let’s act like it. This topic dies here.

As a reminder that server rules must be followed as always. If you have complaints then make a ticket and let us know because your opinions do matter (just realize what is you are complaining about and don’t be so disrespectful about…).

No more singling people out, No more bringing up “changes” when there hasn’t been any, AND NO MORE BULLYING OTHERS INTO SUBMISSION. We are ALL friends here so start being kind and respectful to others and let the staff deal with server problems. Thank you and goodnight/morning!
