A few hours ago we had a user who joined the server. The account was created one day ago with no profile picture. This is a suspicious kind of account, anywhere in discord, and indeed any other platform, you should be cautious of new users.
This user posted a wall of text. Unfortunately, @Wick bot is poorly set up, so it is impossible to find out what the message read. (Not even admins) However, it is very likely that this is a scam advertisement or similar. It is very common for inactive servers to be infested by them. If you see a message like this anywhere, report the message to moderators, do no engage with the user, do not click on any links or open any attachments.
Please do not post any such advertisements either.
Please take online safety seriously!

Another month, another (joke) update...

Most notably, colour picker! I mean, color picker!
We can never decide on what spelling of color/colour, so we'll have to write color/colour picker everywhere. Unfortunately this will mean that we run out of room in the channel sidebar, so it will have to say colour/color.

The hello and welcome channels were combined, which allows us to make newcomers feel at home by halving their space.
A #🗳️│survey has been introduced, which allows us to follow internet traffic wherever it goes.

The survey is actually useful because it helps us understand how and from where people join our server, which helps us grow more efficiently.
I have introduced a new <@&1400722465164103762>, which is kind of a middleground between announcements and everyone pings, for semi-important stuff. I would recommend it for most people. Get it in .

||A rare ping||

I have 4 important things to talk about, please read them all.

1. The New Levelling System

The moment we've all been waiting for!

Changes:

• All levelling progress has been reset, although also saved.
• XP has been scaled down by a factor of 10.
• We are now using [DISCORD_USERNAME] for our levelling system.

Overview:

• Randomly earn 10-20 XP per message.
• Cooldown has been reduced to encourage conversation.
• Certain channels have XP bonuses.
• Mods can award XP at their discretion for things which support the server.
• Streaks can earn additional XP by being continuously active.
• Everyone decays by 10 XP every day.
• XP drops will randomly take place, awarding variable amounts of XP. (currently set to 1 for testing)

Don't forget that we have other rewards systems like /quests which can win cool prizes!
(There are certain things which still need cleaning up but functionally, it works.)

2. My Absence

4. Changes In Guild Management

We're looking into redoing the way we run the guild to be more efficient and reliable. (Think back to all the GM bans.) This will nearly certainly mean that the guild will be reduced to just <@&1350929996755239033> and <@&1353830800801398935>, since 6 sub-guilds is overkill. We will also look into other ways with guild growth, such as continuing Rocks Lines and partnerships.

Major Guild Reform

Hi all, so I have some fairly large changes which will happen to the guild soon.

Levelling System

Due to popular demand, we will be redoing our levelling system using a custom bot, which means that all levels will be reset, and there will be no levelling system for 3-5 business months.

Activity

To make our server appear more active we will be introducing some bots to spam #💬│general 24/7.

Cleanup

As we have too many channels, I will be removing some channels to simplify the discord. The only channels we'll keep are #📔│information, #💬│general and #🎣│imzemo-fisheries.

Channel names

As the name #🎣│imzemo-fisheries has caused some confusion, it will be renamed to #fɪʃɪŋ, to remove ambiguity over pronunciation.

Diversity

As guilds are supposed to be a group of people with similar interests, we will require that all members are interested in the letter K.

Requirements for Guild Entry

As we would like our requirements to suit early game players, they will now be changed to:
- Skyblock level 445
- Class average 72 (as shown cosmetically)
- 144M combined slayer XP
- Mining 72 (as shown cosmetically)
- Own a tier boosted mythic rock
As the community's view on early game is changing, we decided that we should reflect that.

Hey everyone,
I apologise for the ping but I was recently made aware that discord started taking their job of keeping people safe a bit more seriously. Which is overall a good thing but has some unfortunate side effects.

Apparently numerous discord accounts have been terminated for using the abbreviation for “chest plate”.
Using this abbreviation within Discord may put your account at risk for the foreseeable future, so we advise against using it and removing any prior messages containing it.
We have also disabled the use of the above mentioned abbreviation in our server.

TLDR
Using the abbreviation for “chest plate” can get your account terminated.
