Mizi becomes infected only after choosing to become an idol and leaving Sua behind, suggesting she slowly loses herself while chasing fame. 
Sua turning herself into a zombie to stay by Mizi's side mirrors 
Ivan's behavior in the main story. In this AU, Sua becomes possessive, almost forcing her love onto Mizi, abandoning her own humanity just to remain "equal" to her. (In the main story sua mostly seems like a selfless protector)
