AdVenture Capitalist QOL Update: Animation & UI Plans

Hey hey, Capitalists! ๐Ÿ‘‹

We ran a Quality of Life suggestions thread a couple of weeks ago and I wanted to jump in and give an update for all of you on what our key takeaways are regarding the QOL changes you brought up!

Flow
- When selecting a Badge/Suit, go to the last menu that was open when going back, rather than exiting the equipment screen entirely.

We are planning on addressing this screen more thoroughly and this change is part of the overall plan.

Animations
- Option to disable/skip animations or speed up animations
- Timewarp animations
- Upgrade animations

We will likely look at the option to speed up animations similar to AdCom. Adding to the list of QOL updates.

Gameplay/UI
- Angels/Angel Upgrades and repetition of purchase

We are looking to retouch how the Angel system works, primarily via making it less repetitive to constantly re-buy the same upgrades over and over

  • Minimum # of Vault Keys rewarded by minigames

You should always be getting keys so long as your score is above zero. With that said, if any of you are not receiving keys with a score greater than zero, that could be a bug that we will address.

Miscellaneous
- Separate audio sliders (Music/SFX)
- Allows player to listen to their own music when playing and still hear the game

This is a good suggestion, adding this to the list of QOL updates.

  • Framerate changes (raising the currently existing 30fps cap on most of the game)

This is something we are interested in looking into. Although we cannot promise changes immediately, as there could be unknown knock-on issues. We'll let you know more as we investigate the issue and get to the root of the 30fps lock.
