Deep Question Daily #003🫧
Today’s reflection: I used to think that if you’ve forgotten something, it meant you had finally gotten over it. But the reality is that when you hear that same voice or see that same person, the memories come flooding back, and the pain hits you all over again.
The Question: Do we ever truly "get over" our past, or do we just build a bigger life around the part of us that is still hurting?
Looking forward to hearing your thoughts on this.

To be honest I would say we tend to some times try removing that feeling, but not fully getting over it and avoid it all together. To the point we're we tend to feel nothing for it any more or most likly build a avoidance towards the feeling and build ourself in other ways while trying not to help ourselves to truly getting over it with proper help or guidance. So to put i plain I feel it is more that we build mostly a avoidance towards the fear or greef and try building ourself in other areas, even tho we might still feel the effect again. To truly get over it we need time/help but that can maybe never help us truly in the end.

True, this is a rly insightful point. The difference between avoiding the pain and processing is huge, sounds like you're saying that sometimes we just build a wall to protect ourselves, rather than actually healing the underlying wound. But do you think that avoidance is a necessary stage we have to go through first or isit something that ultimately holds us back?

i feel most of the times its one to hold us back and we can't progress or progress far without dealing with it. Getting that feeling of freedom from it would help us in the long run.

It sounds like the hardest part isn't the time itself, but finding the courage to finally face the thing we’ve been avoiding. I appreciate you sharing that,it really puts things into perspective.Thank you so much.
