This engaging thread explores real-world examples of corruption and the ethical dilemmas of maintaining a fair society.
What do you guys say about this.....
True justice is about fairness which in turns brings order.
Anything that is unfair isn't just
If a completely fair decision leads to chaos, would you still support it?
And example of that is?
Give me and example, then I would see if it's truely fair
Enough to be supported
Example is Operation Car wash...Brazil. They initiated an anti-corruption operation where political leaders were held accountable for bribery and corruption but it in turn caused economic instability in Brazil
thats truee...even though we all should advocate for justice and fairness
our modern world does not
support fairness
Well, yeah. They wanted fairness Nd justice I guess but that doesn't mean it wouldn't come with an issue
its made for and by people who exploit others
Especially when you try that with the very people that are in control of the power Nd laws
if u try to give fair treatment to evryone...economical society is gonna take the hit
fs
It's like when your dad made a rule that one stays outside the house after 9pm and he does it and you want a fair system, it might cause some other issues
Exactly....so my question is should fairness have an upper hand while doing justice or should maintenance of order be its priority
If the cost that's the risk is too bad ,I think we should just stick with the unfair
Can't have me dying all in the goal of pursing justice and fairness
But who should decide that the risk is too bad?
I speak for myself
And I was speaking for the world
Would you accept being the one treated unfairly for the sake of order?
Yes if it fair and I'm being guilty
Hell nah
I would rather be the unfair one
Does fairness mean equality or not
Not always
Or like equity I mean
The topic treats fairness and maintaining order as mutually exclusive, which may not be the case always
Ideally to obtain justice is too satisfy all the right causes and intents, which is quite difficult to conceptually practice and execute
It depends on where you want to apply it
Something can be just, fair Nd equal and still not good for everyone
I think fairness is relative
