i need advice from this really bad. i been a dsicord builder server and community manager for 3+ years and make hundreds of servers i need your opinion on how i can hire staff and how i can grow and make a big discord server.
Hi there! Usuaully its not a big problem if you are really engageed, you just add a google application and see who wants to be a mod, if your server is big, people want to be mod for free
if your server is commercial, so you are basically making money out of the server, then maybe you should be able to pay the mods a little bit
Another option can be to have a google form and invite people tp be volunteer mods even in commercial settings, but do expect more hands-on management, check in with them, highlight them so that they stick around longer
oh ok thank you!
i have to ask
can i invite u to my server im working on to see what im missing?
if ur not usy ofc
busy
sure happy to take a look
just put your server invite code here
ok
i sent it

check
bringing in the conversation here, in case it might help other new server owners:
(1) make sure that the permissions are correct, for example, a regular users should not be able to write to the rules and the welcome channel to keep it clean, u can set the permissions by categories if you want, that might make it easy to manage,
(2) Don't do support ticket unless your members are giving for private information, a lot of times, people would rather ask u on ticket than on gen-chat, but its not great for generating activities when u are really new since you want more activities,
(3) Add "about" section, in case someone like me stumple upon you, and might not know everyhting about you, i have a place to know everything about you right there,
(4) Just given you are new, general-chat looks promising, keep up engaigng with users!
(5) Try to reduce the number of channels when u are early, because that diversify your activities, u want everypne to talk in the same space before
ok!
