Mega Sceptile Mawile Team Discussion

Was testing Sceptile with Bellibolt first, but it's important to have a faster duo and I had Rotom-Heat sitting in my box pretty much since I downloaded the game a month ago so better make use of it

The duo works really well and Mawile is another powerful mega option.

Aero provides Tailwind and Wide Guard support + very needed Rock and Flying coverage

Basc and Sneasler are just great powerful coverage + fake out support

Very straightforward, but should have room for improvement.

I'm thinking replacing Coaching for Protect would make more sense in this team and also Mystic Water instead of Sitrus on Basc is probably a stronger option.

Open for any kinds of suggestions!

Gengar-Staraptor Team Build Advice

https://pokepast.es/fa13d89d2435dee8

When looking for a mon to beat starapator I found gengar, and decided to build a team around it and staraptor (Scrafty would be my other choice since it has better synergy with gengar overall but until the hype around staraptor dies down its a bit difficult to use especially since I like using incin)

The team is rly solid and works well overall but there are 3 things bugging me.

For one I have 2 dark types and 2 ghost types, and I don't like having more than 1 repeating type on my teams, the fact that both my megas are weak to psychic is annoying but dealable since gengar can also hit psychic for super effective, more importantly the fact that I have 4 physical attackers and 2 special attackers bugs me a hell lot.

The only real reason I have sinistcha rn is bcause it completes the fire grass water trio that was rly strong on my old team, but I could see replacing it with farig.

Out of incin and grimmsnarl I prefer incin bcause I rly like using taunt incin, but Idk what I'd replace grimmsnarl with.

Araquanid can be replaced with say primarina but I rly like wide gaurd so idk

Mega Dragalge Toxic Doubles Team Guide

I love mega dragalge.

I hit master ball in the first season with scovillain bulky archaludon pelliper basculegion. I made a team for dragalge built around toxic and bulk (team 3 in the photo) but it flopped HARD. I threw dragalge into my old team (team 1) and replaced scovillain's role with him. It worked but that's because the other three carried all the weight.

How can I make a great toxic team around mega dragalge for doubles?

Staraptor + Mega Steelix Team Idea

The thought is to switch to ateelix as my mega in a pikachu or other unfavorable matchup.

Hyperoffense Mega Chandelure Team Build

https://pokepast.es/2db6999c0252f439

With the addition of Light Clay and Grimmsnarl, Mega Chandelure's Infiltrator ability might finally be able to shine, so I'm continuing to try and make this gorgeous mon happen

In this first iteration of the season I'm going for hyperoffense with Metagross as a strong secondary mega that also can handle screens if needed

The cat duo is there for fake out support and strong coverage - Ice comes in handy against Garchomps and Staraptors, Knock Off against Sinistchas, Gholdengos and Annihilapes etc, while Sneasler deal with Archaludon, Grimmsnarl and the fairies.

Sinistcha is a great glue to any team.

Now my doubts:
I'm back and forth with the final slot. Dragonite as a tailwind setter always sounds cool to me, and I put Life Orb on him because Life Orb Extreme Speed sounds fun - but didn't test it yet or anything lol

I first had Light Clay Sableye there instead to set up my own screens and provide will-o-wisp/quash/encore support and typing this now it still sounds like better option than Dnite, but I do feel like I should have a Tailwind user.

Whimsicott is another amazing option, giving me not only Tailwind and several support options but also fairy type coverage, which this team is lacking and is probably more valuable than the dragon type coverage Dnite is providing. With Weavile there, not sure I really need any of that though.

Than there's Aerodactyl, that gives me STAB Rock Slide, very needed flying type coverage, Tailwind and Wide Guard.

And here's come the main issue: Aero and Whimsy sounds amazing, but both really need Focus Sash, that Weavile can't really go without.

Dnite have its natural Sash with Multiscale, but he's weak against common leads like Whimsicott, Grimmsnarl and any Encore users.

If anyone has suggestions on what to do with this final slot (I'm open to replacing Weavile if it comes to that too), let me know please

Mega Swampert Team Help and Suggestions

Hi all, I originally built this team with the intention of having arch and scarf staraptor in the lead to either u turn into peli to switch in rain after mega or to nuke my opponent’s mega lead with final gambit. Then I’ve got mega swamp in the back to clean.

I kinda just threw sinistcha and drampa to have an alternate trick room mode if I ever run into a matchup I really don’t like with swampert but I feel like my current set doesn’t synergize well with my other mons. Would love suggestions

Rain Team w/ Mega Staraptor Review

It's a rain team, sableye is basically there for stopping opposing Staraptor. Just looking for any constructive criticism anyone might have on it, started with the mobile release 2 days ago.

Thanks a bunch!

Annihilape Team Help Items Sets Switches

Im just looking for possible critiques on items, sets and possibly switching mons for others. I feel pretty comfortable with how it plays atm but i like to get multiple opinions on things. The non negotiable would be annihilape and maushold.

Mega Blaziken Protect the President Team Help

Blaziken is my favorite pokemon, so I'm trying to build a team around him. Went with Protect the President a la Delphox + Sinistcha, but a bit more kamikaze with Flare Blitz and CC. Basically just trying to do as much damage as possible before he goes down so that Basculegion can clean up with Last Respects or Liquidation/Aqua Jet

Main Lead: Blaziken + Fake Out (Tink or Incin depending on matchup)

I've been considering quite a few Pokemon for this team, and I don't think I've got the right 6 right now. I'm willing to swap any slot but Blaziken, but I really like the synergy with Basculegion so I'd like to keep that too if possible. Aero feels wrong but I don't know what other secondary mega to use, if any.

Any suggestions?

Tyranitar Meganium Team Help for VGC

So I have this team here, I made it to use Lycanroc (I love it) but to also counter all the meta threats I've personally heard about! Therefore, I'm wondering if there are any improvements I could make for the team, any flaws, and any pokemon changes I could make. The only thing I'm not willing to change is Lycanroc being in the team

https://pokepast.es/22d13255db9b7d6e

In terms of Tyranitar EV's I wanted him to be strong but more bulky.

Annihilape+Maushold Team Help

So i cooked this team up but I'm not convinced on Kingamnit and Archaludon.
I feel like Anni/Maus/Chari/Whimsi is a strong core but i don't really know what other 2 mons can give value to this team.
Basically my strat is enter Maushold+Annihilape with Chari+Whimsi in the back
1st turn Maushold beat up on Annihilape ideally to set up Rage Fist + Bulk up on Annihilape.
2nd turn Follow me to not get hits on Anni + Drain Punch to recover health or rage fist to try and one shot an opposing pokemon.
When maushold dies i send out Whimsicott for a nice Tailwind and have charizard in the back if i need it to finish up

I would appreciate advice on a couple useful mons for this strat and or better EV training

Help Building My First VGC Team

Hello everyone!

After so many years I am finally able to play Pokemon VGC thanks to a mobile release. Even though I was following some creators on yt, I know nothing about team building (but I will learn, I promise 😁).
At the moment I need help to build my first ever team. I think I got some decent core pokemon, but got no clue what to do with them. My end goal is to run only Gengar teams, but thats in the future and when I get him.
Right now, I just want to lift off and start mastering the game, so I need something for the start. Thanks for you help in advance ❤️

Rain Perish Team Breakdown VGC Tips

Gengar and swam are the 2 main Pokémon in this team who do their specific roles in the team. Gengar is the anchor of perish side of the team and if I don’t wanna do perish I can just use him offensively to deal with treats like mega Frosslass, annilhape, goldengo, whimsicot, and opposing mega Gengar. Swampert is the anchor of the rain team cuz of his swift swim ability making him hella fast in rain and is able to deal with treats that gengar can’t aka GROUND types he is pretty tricky to use at times cuz of other Pokémon who are looking to set up weather mainly Charizard. Politoad is the rain setter for Primarina or Swampert to sweep or for to set up perish trap for Gengar. Annilape is the genagr and kinda Swampert since he can deal with Pokémon that both of them are supposed to deal with steal types for Swampert and ghost types for Gengar and he does decent damage to the other Pokémon that my other Pokémon might struggle with like whimsi and Venu. Primrina is our main Pokémon to deal with dragon type Pokémon cuz of them being completely immune to their attacks and being able to hit them super effective damage and also can but pressure on them fire type like zard and torol when we are in the rain cuz in the sun just like swamp she get absolutely destroyed since bot Pokémon and solar beam. I don’t what to use for my last Pokémon I have tried Grimsnarl, and Sinitea but they both have their problems.

Mega Pyroar x Staraptor Team Spotlight

I stole @/ib_studio 's idea pyroar muhaha (oh yeah thanks for the idea, made me go from hating the guy to loving it) and staraptor seems cool. the only thing that i did that I myself would question is giga drain on whims over moonblast, but I want to hit mega swampert since that the only really big threat to this team and one of the only pokemon i see becoming a potential meta threat (along with raichu Y).

This team is mostly fast and has both whims and scrafty (my child) as supporters, sneasler is sneasler, Gholdengo is just press big button, Pyroar outputs massive damage, while staraptor sticks around after a CC or 2.

Base Malamar Breaks the Meta

I was looking at how physical the meta is, and was recommended from a pro friend… Base Malamar? I was just as confused as you are, but you just have to play this team to understand how BROKEN this mon is into the meta. I’m ready for people to call this team bad, but I assure you it isnt
