Gengar-Staraptor

When looking for a mon to beat starapator I found gengar, and decided to build a team around it and staraptor (Scrafty would be my other choice since it has better synergy with gengar overall but until the hype around staraptor dies down its a bit difficult to use especially since I like using incin)
The team is rly solid and works well overall but there are 3 things bugging me.
For one I have 2 dark types and 2 ghost types, and I don't like having more than 1 repeating type on my teams, the fact that both my megas are weak to psychic is annoying but dealable since gengar can also hit psychic for super effective, more importantly the fact that I have 4 physical attackers and 2 special attackers bugs me a hell lot.
The only real reason I have sinistcha rn is bcause it completes the fire grass water trio that was rly strong on my old team, but I could see replacing it with farig.
Out of incin and grimmsnarl I prefer incin bcause I rly like using taunt incin, but Idk what I'd replace grimmsnarl with.
Araquanid can be replaced with say primarina but I rly like wide gaurd so idk
I highly suggest putting a pokemon to support Star
Whim with Charm+ Fake Tears work
and Sini with strength sap is good as well
You’ll get nearly a full heal everytime and a +1 in attack
i’d also drop TW on star and use Roost instead
As bulky as he can get, he’s not gonna last if you rely on him for TW
Also that +12 in HP isn’t gonna do much, I had +15 and it crippled my Star, and you’ll likely get stomped by mirror matches.
Whims is nice, lets me replace both sinistcha and grimmsnarl

it’s a great heal with Star
I like my megas to have some utility outside of their megas too, which is why I chose tailwind

Well I mean if I wanna bring both gengar and staraptor, staraptor won't be capable of rly doing anything without the mega

I do think I'll replace sini with farig but Ig i'll put roost
Sini is a good pick for this team though
Ye, but I just feel kinda uncomfortable putting a grass ghost type on a team with another grass type and another ghost type
unfortunately that’s the best way to pilot a star team
and the most practical
So charm or ticklem?
charm or tickle
And then TW
with fake tears
then worry seed for opposing star teams
Tickle whims or scary face charm grim are your best options for a support to boost star imo

A ground pivot/electric immune is also important considering Raichu exist

What stat spread does perish mega gengar usually run?
Bcause it feels kinda frail with max spa max speed
I mean I did missplay, I could have liquidationed before tr ended
And they also never revealed that they actually had an attacking move
On grimmsnarl, so I should have targeted the pile of gold
Perish song is only really viable in a perish trap team

jsut because it works against people with low skill, doesn’t make it viable or practical

Now, if I am just running a regular gengar, but run perish song to get rid of certain threats or win endgames
Then why wouldn't it be viable?
There was a time in sv where people were running perish song fluttermane, without trap so that they could beat threats like dondozo or setup pokemon
that’s like running explosion
and this case is different considering how violate the move is, paired with it being one of your megas
I'm not using it as my main move on gengar tho
I will be clicking sludge bomb and shadow ball as the main moves
