I know the private generators have been outrageously priced in the past few months. But exactly how much are y'all paying per KwH? My generator guy is charging 0.65 USD per KwH for example. Is this within the benchmark aw 3am yo2rotne bel 3alan?
Apparently we can report them if they price more than the official rate but honestly is anyone gonna do anything if I theoretically file a report?

Hey guys, has anyone here had an epidural injection specifically for a herniated/bulging disc and sciatica?
Where did you get it done and which doctor did it? And did it actually help with the pain/leg symptoms? How long did the relief last?
Would really appreciate any personal experiences, good or bad. Thanks!

Last week I went to watch an Indian stand up comedian by the name of Sundeep Bhardwaj. For those who don't know he's mainly popular on Instagram for making fun of Zionists, has a bit of an audience in Lebanon and came to do a couple of shows here.
His stand up is pretty funny honestly, it's not like his instagram stuff he does talk about his life and makes jokes outside of Israel/Palestine, and I personally enjoyed it. However it's clear that he knows nothing about Lebanon and given it was his first time here, one would hope that it would be an opportunity for him to get to know the people here and maybe incorporate some of that knowledge into his future content. One would hope.
At the end of his set, he asked if anyone had any questions, and a woman and stood up and told him something to the effect of "you came all the way to Lebanon, you talked all about Palestine and didn't mention the south of Lebanon, we're dying as well etc.". I forget what his response was, something to the effect of he didn't know much about Lebanon, it was his first time here, etc., and she repeated the same thing, after a bit of back and forth she started crying and shouting at him, to the point that security had to get involved.
My message is for people who go to stand up comedy shows, especially by non-Lebanese people, with this expectation: with a few exceptions people who don't live here don't really know much about the country. All they know about Lebanon is what they hear in the media, and what they read in books and stuff like that. Even if they are anti-Zionist, at best they know about Hezbollah and the fact they fight against Israel, like that is the most they will know about Lebanon. When they say free Lebanon they're not saying it from a place of understanding of our country's people and politics, they just see Israel bombing someone and they feel(correctly) that that's wrong. If you expect more than that you're going to be disappointed. They're simply not knowledgeable enough to talk about it, let alone write jokes abo...

I think my memory is messing with me about this one nido milk commercial. There’s the one every Lebanese knows. But there’s this other one about a woman burying her daughter because she didn’t want her, then someone else digs up the baby, then the baby says “bideh nido haleebo”😭 I tried searching it up but nothing came up. I tried asking my mom about it too and she only remembers the popular one. Maybe I’m thinking of a different commercial and mixing up what it was for. Idk, hopefully someone here remembers this one and i’m not crazy

Hi, I’m new to Lebanon, and I’m planning to watch Verity with my sister. I heard it has a lot of explicit scenes. Do cinemas here censor movies, or do they show everything?

Hello!
My wife and I would love to watch this movie but I can’t find it anywhere. We live abroad and I’ve tried VPN on Plex to no avail. Countless searches, streaming sites, even those based in the Middle East, and I just can’t find it.
Does anyone know where to watch it and wouldn’t mind sharing it, please?
Thank you and much love.

The motor guys are fucking us left and right. For those who setup alternative systems (solar, batteries etc) successfully, share with the rest of us so we can learn.
What kind of set up, how much did it cost, maintenance cost, how much are you saving etc

I have USD and EUR accounts with Neo, and most of my savings are in USD. My dad has EUR cash and needs to exchange the equivalent of $2,000 every while for cost of living here. I want to convert my USD savings into EUR so I can pursue further studies abroad next year.
We’ll rely on the official exchange rate that Google shows, since cutting out the exchange shop is a win-win for both of us.
Would it be a good idea to deposit the EUR I receive from each exchange into my Neo account? My end goal is to apply for a student visa next year, so when the time comes, I’ll be able to show a bank statement with the funds. The next step, naturally, would be to transfer the money through Neo once I settle abroad and open an account there. This would serve the purpose, but I’m worried that Neo might have restrictions or high transfer fees for EUR.
The alternative is to keep the EUR I receive in €10, €20, and €50 bills as cash. That would be less risky in case we go through another war, but it wouldn’t work as well for the visa application, nor would it be convenient to take that much cash with me abroad.
For what it’s worth, the estimated total will be around €15k. Students and people who have experience with this, please let me know. I could really use some guidance and reassurance. 🙏🏻
