Prefix Command Deprecation

Hey ! We have an important update about Dyno's prefix commands.

Dyno's prefix commands are being phased out in the near future. This includes all default commands starting with your server's prefix (?help, !help, $ping etc.). In the near future, Dyno's default commands will only be available as slash commands.

If you aren't familiar with how they work, check out this Discord support article. But basically, just type / in the channel you want to use a command in and then select it. For example type /mute, select the Dyno command and then fill out the arguments that you want.

👀 Why:

Prefix commands work through the Privileged "Message Content" Intent, which requires manual approval from Discord. Dyno also uses this intent for a lot of its other core features, so upon Discord's request we have to remove prefix commands in order to align with their vision. Slash Commands have been Discord's recommended way for bots to have commands since 2021.

📅 When:

In order to make this transition more seamless, we are going to be doing this in three phases:
1. Starting today (September 1st) when you use a prefix command, there is a chance you will see a notice about this change along with a recommendation to use the relevant slash command instead. The prefix command will still go through normally during this phase.
2. After 3 weeks (on September 22nd), when using a prefix command, instead of being asked to use the slash command, you will be required to do so in order to run your command. During this phase prefix commands will only respond with a prompt to run the relevant slash command.
3. After 3 more weeks (on October 13th) prefix commands will stop responding entirely.

⚠️ What's NOT changing:

The following two things are not changing, even after the October 13th cutoff date.
- Custom Commands will still function as prefix commands only. The way the Custom Command module works is not changing at all.
- "Mention Commands" will also continue to work as is (such as @Dyno cat, @Dyno help ban etc.).

📝 What you need to do:

Nothing! All of Dyno's prefix commands have had slash command counterparts for many years now, so the only thing you need to do is simply type / in a channel, and simply find the Dyno command you want to use!

Action Log Message Improvements 📂

In order to make our logs more powerful and useful to all moderators, we have given the Message Delete and Edit logs a visual overhaul, while also making them significantly better!
- They both use Components V2!
- Deleted Message logs now log all images (if you also have image logging enabled) and files! This has always been a pain to deal with as a moderator, and due to how traditional embeds work we couldn't easily do this before, but that's a problem of the past!
- When you have both the Image Delete and Message Delete events enabled (in the same logging channel), Dyno will now only send one log for the message instead of two!
- They now include a Get User ID button to easily copy the user's ID on mobile.
- They also include a Jump to Message/Context button to take you to the message, or where the message was to easily see the surrounding context.

CV2 Commands

We redesigned even more commands to use CV2:
- /warnings
- /whois
- /serverinfo

Dyno Battles ⚔️

We also have some improvements for Dyno Battles:
- Matchmaking: Improved match quality and stability.
- Deck UI: Enhanced the Deck display for better readability.
- Battle Saves: Improved handling and reliability of save mechanisms during high-contention battles.
- Fixed an issue where defender protection was mistakenly applied to all defenders rather than only defeated ones.
- Fixed Tier 7 boss skills not targeting opposing bosses correctly.
- The /battle command will now mention the /daily and /work commands when you don't have suffecient Dyno Coins to start a battle.

Custom Command Variables

But wait, there's more! We have also added some new Custom Command variables:
- {user.level} - The user's level
- {user.xp} - The user's current XP (e.g., 1200)
- {user.short_xp} - The user's current XP, shortened (e.g., 1.2k)
- {user.coins} - The user's current Coins (e.g., 1200)
- {user.short_coins} - The user's current Coins, shortened (e.g., 1.2k)
- {user.streak} - The user's current daily streak

Dyno Battles! ⚔️

@Updates We've teased it again and again, and now it's ready for everyone to finally experience it themselves!
- Get started with the new /battle command to see your Battle Profile. From here you can quickly manage your cards, see your Arena ranking and stats, and most importantly, start battling other players!
- Win battles against other players to earn more Dyno Coins and trophies in order to start climbing the Arenas and the leaderboards!
- Check your Battle Deck and flex your stats with the new /deck command.

Dyno Arcade

There's a new tab on your Account page: the Dyno Arcade.

This new section is the real home of the Dyno Battles. From here you can easily do the following:
- Check the global leaderboard for each Season and each Arena.
- Spend your hard earned Dyno Coins to purchase Card Packs to expand your roster and fuse your cards.
- Manage the cards that you have unlocked: equip them for battle, fuse them to make them stronger, and read their role - there's a lot of lore!

The wait is over. Dyno Coins is available right now on every server running Dyno!

How you earn:

⏱️ /daily — collect 100 free coins every 24 hours. Keep your streak going for bonus coins (up to 10 days).
💼 /work — watch a short video ad and earn extra coins on top.
🎁 /pay — send coins to anyone instantly.

Members get double the coins:

Silver members: +80 bonus coins per day
Gold members: +90 bonus coins per day
Diamond members: +100 bonus coins per day
Members also skip the claim page entirely and Coins show up in Discord instantly.

Announcing Dyno Tickets! 🎫

Hello @Updates , we're very excited to announce Dyno's newest, and free, module Tickets!

How it works

With this new module you can set up Ticket Panels that your server members can interact with to privately discuss with your server's staff in order to get help, or for a reason of your choice. Your members can simply click on the Create Ticket button and a private channel will be created in a category of your choice (with a customizable form to let them provide more information in advance). After you're done, you can resolve or close the ticket, at which point Dyno will also post the ticket's transcript in a channel of your choice!

Premium features

Additionally, with a premium subscription, you can fully customize the module to make it fully meet your server's needs - from adding extra questions to the ticket intake form, to customizing all of the module's default in-ticket messages, and more!

Upcoming Scheduled Maintenance: May 19th, 2026

As many of you remember, last summer was challenging. Our data center partners experienced multiple back-to-back failures that impacted your experience. We promised to find a better solution, and we have.

We are excited to announce that we are moving to a new, premium managed provider. To make this happen, we need a window of scheduled downtime for a physical migration.

When: Tuesday, May 19, 2026 01:00 PM
Duration: 24 hours
The Task: We will be taking Dyno offline to physically move our servers to the new facility.

We understand that 24 hours is a significant amount of downtime. However, this move is a critical investment in our infrastructure. By moving to a better-managed environment, we are ensuring a much more stable and reliable experience for everyone moving forward.
