Ethereum Pectra Countdown: EIP-7702 Explained
Zusammenfassung
Alchemy Builders is counting down to the Ethereum Pectra upgrade, which is 14 days away and includes 11 EIPs. The main focus is EIP-7702, which promises to significantly improve the poor user experience of current Externally Owned Accounts (EOAs) by enabling web2-like onboarding and transaction signing. This upgrade is crucial as it aims to make interacting with Ethereum much smoother for users.

⏰ 14 days left: We're counting down to Ethereum Pectra
Over the next few weeks, we’re gonna get you ready for the Ethereum Pectra upgrade.
If you didn’t know already, there are 11 EIPs included!!
The big one? EIP-7702.
We all know EOA wallet UX sucks. If you need a reminder, it looks something like this -
- Download extension and login
- Panic about where you’re gonna store your seed phrase
- Buy or swap to the native token of the chain you want to interact with
- Approve signature for every transaction
- Pay gas fees for every transaction
With Ethereum Pectra, this is all going away. Every wallet has a way to get users onboarded and transacting onchain with web2-like UX.
