Remembering Halabja: Mourning and Rights

Summary

In the Kirkuk Governorate server announcement the community mourns the Halabja massacre and places it within the larger Anfal campaign. It highlights thousands killed, families lost, and the one year anniversary of Halabja's recognition as a governorate. The message reaffirms that being Kurdish and seeking freedom are not crimes and urges remembrance.

Today we mourn the Halabja massacre.

This massacre was a part of the bigger Anfal campaign, and due to it we lost many of our people.

Thousands of people were killed and many lost their families, just for being a part of the Kurdish resistance against Baathism.

Today is also the day we mourn all the crimes of the baathist party and its also the One year anniversary of halabjas recognition as a governorate.

Always remember.

Being a kurd is not a crime.
Wanting freedom is not a crime.
All of these are your rights, culturally and legally.
