Hey everyone!
I'm an indie developer currently working on my game, WindSail. It's still in development, and I'm slowly trying to build a community around the project.
I recently launched the Steam page, so if the game looks like something you'd enjoy, I'd really appreciate it if you added it to your wishlist. Every wishlist genuinely helps a small indie project like mine.
I'd also love to hear your feedback on the Steam page, visuals, or the game itself. Constructive criticism is absolutely welcome!

Thanks to everyone who takes the time to check it out and support the project! ❤️

One of the main things I want to achieve with WindSail is the feeling of a large, seamless online world shared by many players. One huge map, lots of players, and no loading screens — everything happens dynamically in the same world.
Players can choose how they want to exist in that world. You can sail under a PvE flag, where other players can't attack you and you can't attack them. You can still meet other captains, team up with them, and sail together to fight NPC ships or bosses. When fighting a boss together, the rewards are distributed based on each player's contribution to the battle.
Or you can raise a pirate/PvP flag and accept the risks that come with it. You can hunt other PvP players, ambush ships, sink them, and take cargo from their holds — while knowing that other pirates can do exactly the same to you.
The idea is that these aren't separate PvE and PvP servers or different game modes. Everyone exists in the same persistent world.
Weather can change while you're sailing or fighting, players can appear unexpectedly, alliances can form, fights can break out, and situations can change while you're already at sea. There are no loading screens separating these experiences — you have to adapt to what's happening around you in real time.
That's the direction I want WindSail to stand out in: one huge seamless naval world where a lot of players share the same ocean, but can choose how they want to experience it.
Yes, exactly! PvE and PvP players will share the same server and the same seamless world, with the flag system determining how they can directly interact with each other.
But that doesn't mean PvE players can't affect each other at all. For example, there will be points of interest with limited loot — if two players arrive at the same place, whoever gets to a chest first can take it. So even without direct PvP combat, players can still compete for resources and opportunities in the shared world.
Everything is fine, Steam is enough too. Thank you for giving me this opportunity!
