Hostinger VPS: Scaling Your Infrastructure Beyond KVM 8

Zusammenfassung

This Hostinger community discussion explores high-performance infrastructure needs, specifically regarding RAM requirements for large-scale projects. It clarifies that the KVM 8 is the largest available VPS plan and offers expert advice on splitting workloads across multiple servers to achieve higher total capacity. The thread provides practical tips for monitoring server usage and testing configurations with a 30-day refund policy.

Is there a higher-tier package available for the KVM 8 VPS?

We are in the planning stages of a major project and exploring our infrastructure needs. Your standard lineup goes up to KVM 8, but we need a configuration with higher specs, specifically 128 GB of RAM to test the system. Do you offer plans above KVM 8, or can you provide a custom setup for this?

Thanks for the context 🙂 KVM 8 is our largest VPS plan (8 vCPU, 32 GB RAM, 400 GB disk, 32 TB bandwidth), and there's no plan above it. We don't offer custom configurations either, so 128 GB of RAM on a single VPS isn't something we can provide.

My suggestion for a project this size:
1. Validate on a KVM 8 first. Run your test there and check in hPanel (Backups & Monitoring → Server Usage) how much RAM your system really needs
2. Split the workload. If your system can be spread across servers, you can run several VPS plans, for example app, database and web server separately. That adds up to more total RAM, but it's not a single 128 GB machine

What kind of system is it, and can it be split across several servers?

If you want to test your system, a KVM 8 is a good place to start. If you'd like to try our servers, you can use the code BLACKFRIDAYDISCORD at checkout for an extra Black Friday discount. KVM VPS plans also have a 30-day refund window in case it doesn't fit https://www.hostinger.com/legal/refund-policy>

out of curiosity, what kind of workload needs the 128GB? db ai containers? depending on the use case there might be setups that fit better than a single large vps
