Urgent Discord Scam Alert Protect Your Account
**Wakie wakie discord users and my dear lovely attentionhub members 😘 , I have some juicy security warnings for you. **
Take a good look at these screenshots and the last fake email from shitcord (discord).
Today this loser thought it can fuck me up (doesn't deserve the he pronoun 🙃 ).
But alas, I spotted it the moment I was about to send a friend request to a bitch called anita.
Anyway, enough of bragging, here is what this sophisticated hacking is about and my advice to you:
This is called a Discord Social Engineering scam, and it's one of the most sophisticated ones going around right now.
Here's how it works step by step:
Someone's account gets hacked.
The hacker then logs in AS that person and DMs their entire friend list. The message says something like in the screenshots or similar garbage, might not be the same.
They back this up with a fake Discord Trust & Safety email that has YOUR username in it, a fake ticket number, a fake agent name, the whole package.
Looks real. Supposed to.
The email then tells you to add a Discord account to "appeal the report." In my case, it was a loser called anita. That account is the hacker's second account.
The moment you engage with it, they either send you a fake login link to steal your credentials, or a fake "verification tool" that steals your account token (which is basically a master key to your account that bypasses your password and 2FA entirely).
Account gone. And then they use YOUR account to run the same scam on YOUR friends. It's a virus. It spreads through trust.
Why it's so dangerous:
The reason this works on smart people is because it hits you from a trusted source (someone you actually know), creates real fear (your account getting banned), gives you a 24 hour deadline so you panic and stop thinking clearly, and gives you a dead simple solution (just add this loser)
Your brain goes into "fix the problem fast" mode and skips the "wait is this real" mode. The fake email even tells you NOT to send multiple reports — that's them stopping you from reporting it to the real Discord before you fall for it.
Red flags to watch for:
-
Any DM claiming your account is being reported or flagged, especially with a fake email attached.
-
Any email with your Discord username specifically called out — they just copied your username from the chat, it means nothing.
-
Any "support" process that involves adding a random Discord user instead of going to discord.com/support. You never add someone as a friend to solve a report or account related issue. Never. Only to discord itself, officially.
-
Artificial urgency — "24 hours or you get banned" — real Discord doesn't work like that.
-
A friend acting weird in DMs, especially if you share no mutual servers anymore or their messages feel scripted.
-
Messages being deleted mid-conversation — the hacker is cleaning up their script.
What to do if this happens to you
Tell them to go and do certain sucking-swallowing movements.
Wrong one.
Do not click any links.
Do not friend anyone they tell you to.
Go to discord.com/support directly yourself if you're worried.
Report the account using the Report Spam button right in the DM.
If a real friend's account got hacked, contact them through a completely different platform — Instagram, Telegram, phone, anything — and let them know.
What to do if YOU already clicked something/did something:
Well, I advise you to take an IQ test first.
Oi.
Change your Discord password immediately.
Go to User Settings → Privacy & Safety → and remove any authorized apps you don't recognize. Log out of all devices (Settings → Devices).
Turn on two-factor authentication if you haven't already.
If you think your token was stolen specifically, changing your password invalidates the old token.
Stay cautious. Stay sharp. Stay smart. Stay safe.
And don't be the person who friends anita.
Best regards,
Narek. ✌️
