Dark typing making him immune to taunt makes him a good candidate imo

More like prankster taunt. It's able to be taunted by regular pokemon.

I once taunted one with rilaboom and then it started struggling. I still think prankster taunt is good for stopping protect, especially those pesky Sand teams
