Okay so, just in case, online username means if he had a social media (which would be our #flicky-server ) what would it be? But if you don’t want to make one up or have him in the Flicky server (it is mainly for fun) , I just wanted to clarify!

1. He cannot be dating rouge the bat here
2. Sonic is not dead here. this would have to be an au, meaning he’s from an alternate universe.

3. You have to gain permission/consent from everyone (shadow/rouge/sonic/eggman)

4. I would like more weaknesses implemented like… how many times he can use his abilities, etc. if you want him to be powerful, all I ask is that you follow the OP rule and not force actions onto others. If you do want him to be op, the rule is that he cannot join any events (unless I say so) so if you want to join our fighting tournament that I’m working on, you’d have to give me some weaknesses unless you want some help to flesh him out more ^^

Absolutely! I can help you work him out. ^^ I actually think the general idea can work, we just need to adjust a few things so he fits our server and so his abilities have enough limitations.

First, regarding his backstory and relationships,

Since you have your oc killing Sonic, dating Rouge, and being connected to Shadow and Eggman, that would mean he’s essentially from an au (alternate universe) where those things happened. That’s completely fine if you want him to be an au character! You don’t have to announce every detail of his story to the server, either. Unless you want to, of course.

However, if you want him to exist in our main continuity, there are a few things that would need to change,

1. Sonic is alive here, obviously- so your oc kill/ or have killed Sonic in the main timeline. If you want that part of his backstory, he’d need to be from an alternate universe.

2. He can’t automatically be dating Rouge. Our Rouge isn’t dating him by default. If you’d like to ship him with her, you can absolutely ask the Rouge user! Just please don’t get upset if they aren’t interested. You can also use #ship-call and the ship template in #templates if you’d rather find someone interested in the ship there. Refer to the ones already existing in #ship-call if you’re unsure how it works. If you have ANY questions regarding that, please let me know.

3. If you want him to be friends with Shadow, you’ll need to get permission from the person playing Shadow. This applies even if he’s is an au character.

4. If you’re keeping the part where Eggman/Dr. Robotnik created Stryker, I’d recommend letting the Eggman user know and getting their permission to use their character in his backstory.

I get that there’s alot of asking permission, so if you’d like, we can set it up in #rp-discussion or #character-discussion and I’ll let you know who owns who. Then again, you can see who in #canon-list !

If you decide that your oc is an au character, you don’t necessarily have to get permission just to say “an au version of Eggman created him”, but you’d still need permission if you want the actual server’s Eggman, Shadow, Rouge, Sonic, etc. to interact with him or have an established relationship with him. I can help you get started.

Also, we do have established server lore! You can read through #the-timeline if you haven’t already. It might actually give you some ideas for your oc’s story. And also let you know for some things you can’t do currently.

Like for example, Enerjak broke the master emerald and the entirety of angel island has fallen and sunken as well as been destroyed and is under water. You’ll know by the name #⚫angel-island . And because of angel island falling, most areas are flooded. You’ll know when you see a channel called #🔵emerald-hill-zone for example.!

So obviously, there are already some pretty major things happening in the setting that your character could potentially get involved with instead of needing to create an entirely separate conflict around Sonic or someone else. And that for some of his powers, it’s weakened or what not.

Speaking of his powers,

This is the part I’d want to work on with you the most. Your oc can definitely be powerful, but we do have the OP rule for a reason,

Overpowered characters are allowed within reason, especially in Sonic lore.

However:
- abilities must have limits
- characters must be interactable
- “instant win” powers are not allowed
- staff may request nerfs/reworks if needed

Enerjak-level threats should still create interesting RP, not shut it down completely.`

No OC can be stronger than Enerjak. Any canon / non character stronger than Enerjak will be withheld from participating in combat events and combat roleplay UNLESS both participants agree!

So you don’t necessarily have to make your oc weak. I just need his abilities to have rules and limitations.

For example, the regeneration ability.

• It doesn’t have to work instantly.
• More severe injuries take considerably longer to recover from. Or there’s some injuries he just can’t do, or it consumes wayyy too much stamina or hurts him or makes him super tired.
• Regeneration consumes stamina.
• If he’s exhausted, his regeneration becomes slower or may temporarily stop.
• He can’t regenerate indefinitely during one fight.
• Regeneration takes a few rp turns to work, or to get better.
• You might need to talk to the person in #rp-discussion if they want their oc to get regenerated. Just in case! I know sometimes some people want their ocs to get hurt for plot reasons.

Now for chaos control, some ideas can include like
- He has a limited number of uses before he becomes mentally/physically exhausted.
- Repeated use in a short period becomes increasingly difficult.
- Large scale teleportation takes more energy than short range movement.
- He needs enough concentration to use it properly.
- And for teleportation, he might need to already know where the location is. I believe that’s how chaos control works canonically anyway.

I’m pretty sure Dimension hopping requires two chaos emeralds canonically which all emeralds has been claimed and there is an event ongoing regarding such. But if your character needs chaos emeralds, we can work on a substitute- #artifact-submissions or #artifact-locations ! He can have some chaos drives to help him. Also if you stay in the server and talk a lot, you can buy some power ups or chaos drives from #tatsu-shop but you do have to notify a mod! Or me.

As for chaos blast,
- It can be very powerful, but has a significant stamina cost.
- Can’t be spammed repeatedly.
- Using it while exhausted could leave him vulnerable afterward.

Chaos cyclone,
- Could require concentration to maintain.
- Interrupting his focus could destabilize it.
- Stronger versions consume more energy.

As for dimension travel, I don’t allow it unfortunately. Unless there was a reason - if you don’t mind if he is an AU- that he got here, whether it was an accident (example is my fanon character, Ashura) or his dimension was threatened. Or he was forced to be here some reason. But I don’t allow characters to freely swap between dimensions whenever they want, because otherwise dimensional travel becomes an easy escape from basically every situation. And it would be unfair to everyone else.

I’m actually working on a dimension event where Sonic Prime, like the show, will happen, including characters/AUs such as Sir Lancelot (I know this isn’t Sonic prime but it is an example), Thorn Amy, Chaos Sonic, etc,. so I’d rather keep dimensional travel as something special for that storyline rather than something characters can freely use whenever.

Some weakness ideas

You already gave him mental stamina 3/10, which is actually a really good weakness to build around. But mental stamina is what makes certain powers weakened, mental stamina means that he can’t exactly work well under stress but you have already written that, or at least implied it with his anger issues I think.

But otherwise he are some other ideas to help you out,

• Different forms could have different strengths but also different drawbacks, rather than every form simply being stronger.
• Because he was supposedly created to surpass Shadow, he might underestimate opponents and make mistakes.

But I will say it is somewhat against the rules to be more powerful than canon characters but like I said if you do want him to be op, the only issue is that he will be restricted from events but I assume you’d want him to be involved in events and lore!

• If Rouge, Shadow, or someone he cares about is threatened, his impulsiveness could become significantly worse. And another example is that if he IS from another AU, he could think to himself when he encounters people he already know or have a deep bond with like Rouge or shadow, he would get upset. But do understand that Meta modding is against the rules. Meta modding means that if you learn something about a character OUT OF CHARACTER, your character IN roleplay does not know what you know ! For example, your character does not know that a specific character is a fake/mimic/shapeshifter or somehow the runaway angel half demon alpha lost princess (this is a joke if you can’t tell lolol/pos)

• You already have “not knowing what’s ahead” as a weakness. It’s something every character has unless that specific character has future reading but even so I’d give a character like that weaknesses and what not.

• His physical stamina is already 5/10, so powerful attacks could tire him out surprisingly quickly despite his high strength and speed.

And important thing I gotta say,

Being powerful doesn’t mean you have to let everyone hit you. You can dodge attacks, block them, counter them, etc. The problem is when a character always dodges, always teleports away, or decides that every attack automatically misses them.

Likewise, don’t automatically decide that your attack hits another person’s character. Give them the opportunity to respond. If you attack someone, they can decide how their character reacts. And if someone is being unfair with you, you can always bring it to me or another mod instead of trying to solve it out of character (ooc) or what not.

You don’t have to make him get hit constantly, either. Sometimes taking a hit, letting an attack graze him, or allowing an opponent to gain an advantage actually makes a powerful character more fun to fight, because it gives everyone something to work with.
