I know so many people who think that sexism is just a joke but it really isn't.

I've had so many friendships ruined because of sexism. As I've gotten older I've realized that when I was little I had so many guy friends. There was a whole group full of us but as we got older we all split up. I've found that as we get older we seem to dislike the opposite gender more. And if any girl has a guy friend or if a guy has a girl friend they will be asked if they are dating. I really don't get why this happens though, it's such a toxic stereotype that we need to stop teaching to our future generations. I want to be able to have guy friends in the future and not be asked if we are dating.

I've also found that boys and girls have seemed to have learned to hate each other. I find that guys who are in groups with other boys will be jerks to the opposite gender. I've had soccer balls kicked at me, I've been called insults, and so much more all because guys feel like they should just for laughs in their friend groups.

That is why I think this cycle should end. I think that all sexist stereotypes should end. I think that the stereotype that boys don't cry should end. I want to have guy friends that are okay to come and cry to me whenever they're down whether we are dating or not.
