I dont think they meant anything bad about it, just their opinions on what to do when a situation like that , comes to someone who feels uncomfortable or triggerd with situation that block could be situation, i dont have expectations on anyone based on what they will say.
Plus they are a minor so it is reasonable they come to block conclusion
