YouTried
What does the YouTried emoji mean?
A sarcastic gold star for when someone makes a valiant but ultimately futile effort.
The 'You Tried' meme is a classic internet staple used to mock failure with a thin veneer of encouragement. It originated from a popular star-shaped sticker design and is now a staple in Discord servers for playfully roasting someone who failed at a task or made a silly mistake.
When to use it
- Mocking someone who failed a simple task
- Acknowledging a friend's hilariously bad attempt
- Teasing a user after a failed prediction
- Reacting to a spectacularly unsuccessful game play
