What does the bigbrain emoji mean?

When your brain reaches peak enlightenment and starts solving the universe.

This is the classic 'Expanding Brain' meme, a staple of internet culture used to mockingly rank ideas from simple to absurdly complex. In Discord or Slack, it is the go-to reaction for when someone makes a galaxy-brain take, over-engineers a solution, or acts like a total genius.

When to use it

  • mocking someone with an overly complex idea
  • celebrating a truly genius level take
  • reacting to someone overthinking a simple task
  • showing off your own massive intellectual power
