What does the Capping emoji mean?

When someone is clearly telling a tall tale, drop the cap.

This emoji combines the classic Pinocchio nose-growth trope with the modern internet slang 'cap,' which means a lie. It is the perfect visual shorthand for calling out someone's dishonesty or exaggerated claims in a Discord chat. Use it whenever a message seems too good to be true or blatantly false.

When to use it

  • Calling out someone for lying about something
  • Reacting to an obviously fake story shared
  • Pointing out exaggerated claims in a conversation
  • Expressing doubt about a suspicious message sent
