What does the __ emoji mean?

The ultimate expression of pure, unadulterated confusion and existential dread.

This emoji features a distorted, close-up shot of Sulley from Monsters, Inc., commonly known as the 'Wazowski' or 'Staring Sulley' meme. It is used in Discord chats to convey a sense of being completely bewildered, caught off guard, or silently judging a bizarre situation. Its deep-fried, low-quality aesthetic adds to the comedic effect of being overwhelmed by nonsense.

When to use it

  • Expressing confusion after reading a weird message
  • Reacting to an incredibly awkward chat moment
  • Showing silent judgment toward a bad take
  • Highlighting a moment of pure existential dread
