What does the crown emoji mean?

A regal knight helmet with a suspicious, side-eye gaze.

This emoji features a heavily armored knight's helmet adorned with a golden crown and jewels, but with a distinctly mischievous or judgmental expression peering through the visor. It is frequently used in gaming communities and Discord servers to represent a 'king' who is either plotting something or silently judging the incompetence of others. The juxtaposition of high-fantasy royalty with a grumpy, meme-like face makes it a staple for sarcastic reactions.

When to use it

  • Reacting to a bad take in chat
  • Showing off your status as server king
  • Judging someone for a silly mistake
  • Acting like a suspicious royal guard
