What does the emoji_290 emoji mean?

A group of blushing Pepes proudly holding up a banner for the degenerate squad.

This emoji features multiple iterations of the popular 'Pepe the Frog' meme, specifically the 'Pepega' or 'Smug' variants, blushing and holding a sign that reads 'Degenerates est 2024'. It is a self-deprecating badge of honor used in gaming communities and Discord servers to identify members of a chaotic or 'degen' friend group. It captures the ironic, internet-native culture of embracing one's own chaotic online behavior.
