What does the Frick emoji mean?

The universal signal that things are about to get real.

This emoji mimics the classic 'REC' indicator found on camcorders and professional recording equipment. In Discord and Slack communities, it is frequently used to signal that a conversation is being screenshotted, recorded, or that someone is about to drop a major truth bomb or 'clip' a hilarious moment.

When to use it

  • Signaling that a conversation is being recorded
  • Warning friends that a screenshot is incoming
  • Highlighting a moment worth saving for later
  • Indicating that you are actively watching drama
