What does the heavenly emoji mean?

When the light of truth is just a bit too bright for your liking.

This emoji features Jerry Smith from the animated series Rick and Morty, reacting with a classic look of bewildered aversion to a bright, heavenly light. It perfectly captures that moment of being overwhelmed by something intense, divine, or just plain annoying. It is a staple for Discord servers to express skepticism, being blinded by someone's nonsense, or reacting to an overly dramatic revelation.

When to use it

  • Expressing skepticism toward someone's wild claims
  • Reacting to an overwhelming amount of text
  • Showing annoyance at a blindingly bright idea
  • Deflecting a sudden barrage of intense questions
