What does the James emoji mean?

The ultimate stare-down from the internet's favorite hairless cat.

This is the iconic 'James' cat, a hairless Sphynx captured in a hilariously unflattering, ultra-close-up wide-angle shot. It has become a staple meme for expressing intense judgment, confusion, or just staring blankly into the void of a Discord conversation. Use it when someone says something completely baffling or to silently judge a bad take.

When to use it

  • Expressing confusion at a bizarre statement
  • Staring down someone with a bad take
  • Reacting to an awkward or silent moment
  • Adding humor to a serious conversation
