What does the ll emoji mean?

The ultimate way to call out someone for taking a big L.

The 'L' emoji is a staple of internet slang, used to represent a 'loss' or to mock someone for failing at a task. It is frequently deployed in gaming communities and competitive Discord servers to highlight a defeat or a bad take. The crumbling, pixelated aesthetic adds a layer of 'deep-fried' irony to the insult.

When to use it

  • Mocking someone for losing a game match
  • Pointing out a bad take in chat
  • Humiliating a friend for a silly mistake
  • Reacting to an embarrassing moment in stream
