LOL
What does the LOL emoji mean?
A deadpan, surreal reaction for when the joke is so bad it's good.
This emoji features a low-quality, high-contrast portrait of a man with a blank expression, overlaid with the text 'LOL'. It is a staple of ironic meme culture, used to express extreme sarcasm, deadpan humor, or a 'bruh' moment in Discord servers where genuine laughter is replaced by cynical irony.
When to use it
- Reacting to a painfully unfunny joke
- Expressing deep sarcasm in a chat
- Showing deadpan reaction to absurd news
- Mocking a cringe moment in conversation
