What does the Lore emoji mean?

When the backstory is just too deep to handle.

This emoji features the word 'Lore' in a classic, gothic-inspired pixel font, often used in gaming communities to mock or celebrate overly complex world-building. It is the perfect reaction for when someone drops a massive wall of text explaining the history of a fictional universe in a Discord chat.

When to use it

  • Reacting to someone explaining complex game history
  • Mocking an unnecessarily long backstory for characters
  • Highlighting deep world building in a discussion
  • Signaling that a conversation is getting too nerdy
