What does the minors emoji mean?

A blunt, minimalist way to signal that someone is definitely not of age.

This emoji features a bold, white '-18' text against a stark black background, commonly used in online communities to denote age restrictions or to call out underage behavior. It serves as a quick, visual shorthand for flagging content or users that do not meet the eighteen-year-old threshold. Its high-contrast, no-nonsense design makes it a staple for moderation-focused or age-gated Discord servers.

When to use it

  • Flagging content that is not age appropriate
  • Warning users about strict age server requirements
  • Calling out someone for being underage online
  • Indicating a post is for adults only
